Pressed Glass Crucifix Candlestick

The recovery of religious artifacts from the wreck of the SS Republic included 26 intact pressed glass crucifix candlesticks in both green and white glass. Their manufacture is attributed to the Boston and Sandwich Glass company of Massachusetts which produced these candlesticks in great numbers from 1840 to 1880, typically selling them in pairs.
