Odyssey Marine Exploration

Side scan sonar systems guide Odyssey's explorers to possible "targets" in the search for a shipwreck. Old shipwrecks lie collapsed on the sea bed, while modern ships stand "proud" and cast much more definite "shadows" on the sonar images. The more promising targets are often visually inspected by Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV).
