Odyssey announced the purchase of the 251 foot Odyssey Explorer and the work class Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), ZEUS in August of 2003. Almost immediately, Odyssey began adding additional technology and equipment to make Odyssey Explorer the most advanced deep ocean archaeological platform in the world.

It took the talents and dedication of many people to get Odyssey Explorer and ZEUS mobilized so quickly.
The team was led by Roy Truman, Recovery Operations Manager and Greg Stemm, Director of Operations and Odyssey co-founder.
