Odyssey's preliminary survey and photomosaic work revealed beautiful images of the shipwreck of the SS Republic. The ship sank in 1865 and now rests about 1700 feet below the surface of the Atlantic. A variety of bottles, artifacts and cargo have been observed on the site.
